Canadian World Friendship Fund

Through the Canadian World Friendship Fund (CWFF), Girl Guides of Canada is able to support WAGGGS’ projects such as the World Centres, the World Thinking Day Fund and mutual aid for Guiding projects in developing countries designed to improve the lives of girls and young women and their communities. Contributions to the CWFF also support Canadian girls and women attending international events.

Each member is challenged to contribute $5 to the CWFF each year. You may remember collecting friendship pennies many years ago. We all know a penny doesn’t go far very far these days and that is equally true of our donations to the CWFF. All donations to the CWFF, big and small, are gratefully accepted, but we encourage all Guiders and Units to introduce the concept of donating a “Fiver for Friendship”. Donations to the CWFF can be made through your District, Area or directly to Provincial Office. Ensure you specify CWFF in the memo line of your cheque!
